Learning Support Assistant – SEMH Secondary School
Location: Eastleigh
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time (Flexible hours)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Eastleigh. This is an ASAP start role, available on either a full-term or part-term basis, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Helping pupils engage with learning and manage behaviour positively

  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support individual learning plans

  • Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEMH experience desirable but not essential)

  • Calm, resilient, and patient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
