Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are requiring an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 pupil with ASD and challenging behaviour. This position is in one of our fantastic, highly regarded schools in Horfield, Bristol. Previous Experience working with a child with SEN would be advantageous but the role is open to any teaching assistants who would like to develop their SEN knowledge.
The student that you will be working with requires full time support during the school day including classroom sessions, on school trips and out of classroom learning. You will be working with the pupil on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention sessions to provide a unique and comfortable learning environment.
Successful candidate specification…
- Can offer previous Teaching Assistant experience or child based experience of a relevant age group.
- A knowledge or understanding of SEN needs in particular ASD.
- A confident approach to working with children
- An educational background
- An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
- An enhanced DBS Teaching Personnel can assist with this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
