Lead Teacher of Maths

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Teacher of Maths to join a welcoming school in Milton Keynes (MK10).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher to take on a lead role within the department, delivering high-quality teaching and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Teach Maths across a range of year groups, up to Key Stage 5.

• Lead and deliver consistently high-quality Maths lessons.

• Plan engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

• Complete regular marking, assessment and feedback.

• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching accordingly.

• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider Maths department.

• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.

• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and progress.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching Maths in the UK.

• Experience teaching Maths up to Key Stage 5.

• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.

• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, challenging and effective lessons.

• Experience with marking, assessment and tracking student progress.

• High expectations of student achievement and behaviour.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.

• Availability to start within the next 4 weeks.

The position offers a salary of up to UPS3, dependent on experience and qualifications.
