Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Tiverton and the surrounding areas from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy supporting children in Years 3–6, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their full potential. Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to gain valuable school-based experience, we would love to hear from you.
We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available.
Role Details
Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Tiverton and surrounding areas
Start Date: September
Pay: Competitive weekly pay (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Flexible supply, short-term, long-term, full-time and part-time opportunities available
Term Time Only
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inspiring KS2 lessons.
- Working with pupils in Years 3–6 on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups.
- Helping children develop confidence in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
- Supporting pupils to prepare for end-of-key-stage assessments where appropriate.
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every child can succeed.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who:
- Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
- Have experience supporting primary-aged pupils, particularly within KS2 (desirable).
- Are passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Are reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
