Job description

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teacher seeking a new opportunity in a supportive school environment? We are working closely with primary schools in Tiverton who are looking for a KS2 Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire pupils throughout this important stage of their education.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum across KS2

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and pupil wellbeing

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress using effective assessment strategies

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support pupil development and attainment

  • Build strong working relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Contribute to staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Previous experience teaching KS2 is desirable, though Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to inclusive practice and high-quality teaching
