Year 6 Teacher - Kingsbury

Are you an experienced year 6 teacher who has a passion to motivate and stimulate children's learning abilities?

About the school

Our client school is located in Kingsbury and they are currently looking for a year 6 teacher who is available to hit the ground running immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Primary School that has plans to expand from a two-form entry school to a four-form entry school in the upcoming years. This is a very multi-cultural school in which over 30 different languages are spoken and where different cultures and religions learn together. The school has a large playing field, a multi-use games area and playground space. Also, the school is equipped with up to date ICT facilities such as computers, laptops, netbooks and iPads.

About the role

The role entails helping children to achieve early learning goals by organising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources. Also, you will be supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication and encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play. You will be providing pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn.

The ideal candidate:

  • Is enthusiastic, motivated and ready to make a difference
  • Has a commitment to the promotion of high standards in teaching and learning
  • Is passionate about enabling every child to fulfil his/her potential
  • Has proven excellent classroom practice and class management skills
  • Recognises and values the diverse social and cultural needs of our children and community
  • Fully qualified teacher or newly qualified teacher status
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum
  • At least 1 years experience teaching in a Primary School
  • Have a valid DBS registered on the update service or be willing to complete an application immediately
  • Excellent communication skills
