KS2 Class Teacher – Southport

Job Title: KS2 Class Teacher
Location: Southport
Length of Role: Summer Term (April – July)
Pay Rate: Main Pay Scale
Type of Setting: Mainstream Primary School

A thriving primary school in Southport is seeking an experienced KS2 Class Teacher to join their Lower Key Stage 2 team for the summer term. This role requires a confident and effective practitioner who can deliver high‑quality teaching, maintain strong routines and support pupils’ progress throughout the final term of the academic year.

The school has a warm, supportive staff team, strong leadership and a positive approach to behaviour and learning. You will be responsible for full class teaching and will play an important part in ensuring continuity, consistency and pupil engagement during a key period of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging KS2 lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Establishing clear expectations for behaviour and classroom routines
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Contributing to year‑group and whole‑school planning
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents

About You:

  • Strong, proven experience teaching within KS2
  • Confident delivering lessons within Lower Key Stage 2
  • Excellent classroom management and curriculum knowledge
  • Able to integrate quickly into an established school environment
  • This role is not suitable for ECT candidates

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
