Job Title: KS2 Class Teacher

Location: Blackburn

Length of Role: Summer term, with strong potential to continue into the 2026/27 academic year

Pay Rate: Main Pay Scale

A vibrant primary school in Blackburn is looking to appoint a committed KS2 Class Teacher for the summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives on challenge, enjoys fostering independence in learners and is confident delivering the upper or lower KS2 curriculum.

The school offers a supportive leadership team, well‑resourced classrooms and a strong focus on professional development. You will join a collaborative staff team dedicated to raising standards and providing pupils with a rich, engaging learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver well‑structured lessons that motivate and challenge KS2 pupils

  • Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform planning

  • Support pupils in developing resilience, independence and strong learning habits

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole‑school priorities

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within KS2

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for high‑quality teaching

  • A positive, professional and flexible approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
