KS2 Teacher - Ascot

Job description

We are looking for a Primary School Teacher who is confident teaching a small class of Year 6 pupils with Autism. This is a full time role due to start in September 2019.

The school are looking for a Primary Teacher who holds a UK QTS or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) working towards gaining QTS. This role would suit a Teacher from a background working in Mainstream or Special Educational Needs as school runs regular training to ensure all staff are up to date on pupils EHCP's, safeguarding and teaching techniques working with Autism. The class will have numerous teaching assistants on hand to offer pupils 121 support with social skills, academics and occasionally behaviour management.

Responsibilities:

Adapting teaching style to meet each individual unique need, inside and outside of the classroom

Teaching pupils 121 or in small groups

Liaising with professional including the SALT (speech and language therapist), Educational Psychologists and Social Workers

Preparing lessons and resources

Attending weekly and annual meetings with Senior Leadership and Governors

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
