KS2 Class Teacher – Primary School

Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by negotiation)

KS2 Class Teacher Required – Reading

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Reading that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential, and contributing to a positive and inclusive school community. The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Foster positive behaviour and strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with year group partners and the wider teaching team to ensure excellent outcomes for all learners.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or successful teaching placements within KS2.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • High expectations for pupil attainment and behaviour.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
