Location: Hillfields (BS16)
Hours: Full Time
Salary: MPS/UPS (Depending on experience)


About the Role

A friendly and forward‑thinking primary school in Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgeable Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team on a full‑time basis.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting learners especially in years 5-6, delivering engaging lessons and fostering independence, curiosity and academic progress. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or an ECT looking for the perfect school to grow and develop, the school offers strong leadership, supportive colleagues and a positive learning culture.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a KS2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons tailored to the KS2 curriculum
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Use assessment to track progress and inform next steps
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of a diverse range of abilities
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Establish a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to wider school life, curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Maintain safeguarding, behaviour and school policies consistently

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who have:

  • FQT status (ECT willbe considered)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, structured lessons
  • Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills
  • A nurturing, resilient and proactive approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships and motivate learners
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN or EAL (advantageous)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
