Full Time
Initially until Easter (Friday 27th March)
Strong potential to extend through to July 2026 for the right candidate
£150 – £220 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)

A friendly and supportive primary school in Bedford is seeking a qualified Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team after February half term. This opportunity has arisen to provide consistency during the spring term, with the school keen to retain the right teacher through to July 2026.

You’ll take full responsibility for a KS1 class, creating a warm and engaging learning environment where pupils feel supported, confident, and excited to learn. The school prides itself on teamwork, strong leadership, and a child-centred approach.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where needed
• Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1
• Strong knowledge of early primary curriculum and phonics
• A calm, nurturing, and adaptable teaching style
• A genuine passion for helping young learners thrive
