Intervention Teaching Assistant Required
Location: Eastbourne / Salary: £77.00 - £85.00 / Start Date: January 2024
We are currently searching for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-1 basis within small groups of 3 - 5 across KS1 and KS2 students to help raise their attainment in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
Responsibilities Include:
- Encouraging and supporting pupils building their confidence subsequently raising attainment
- Providing feedback to regular class teachers on individual pupil progress
- Assisting with the workload of class teacher
- Support and group Intervention Teaching
- Identifying student learning gaps and helping to narrow them working with their individual education plan
The Role:
- Full time, Monday-Friday
- Hours approximately 8:30am-3:30pm
- KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistant

- Must be able to build effective relationships with all children and young people
- Must have flexibility, strength of character and be resilient
- Must be an appropriate role model to learners
- Must have a positive solution focused approach to challenging situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
