Job Title: Intervention Teaching Assistant – Year 6 (SATs Support)
Location: DE24
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £90 - £100
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Intervention Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 6, with a strong focus on SATs preparation. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted intervention sessions, helping pupils build confidence and make progress in core subjects, particularly English and Maths.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver small-group and 1:1 intervention sessions to support SATs readiness

Reinforce learning objectives set by the class teacher
-
Support pupils with exam techniques, confidence, and resilience

Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Experience supporting Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
-
Experience delivering or supporting intervention groups
-
A good understanding of SATs expectations (desirable)
-
A calm, patient, and encouraging approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
