SEN Support Professional – Turnaround Project
Alternative Provision | Salisbury (City Centre)
We are seeking a self-motivated SEN support professional to lead our Turnaround Project, a short-term intervention designed to support vulnerable students at risk of permanent exclusion.
About us
We are an independent alternative provision supporting students in Years 7–11, specialising in 1:1 teaching, wellbeing, and personalised learning. Our work focuses on removing barriers, nurturing resilience, and improving life chances for young people with SEND and behavioural needs.
The role
- Lead short-term respite intervention placements (each placement is up to 2 weeks) for students in Years 7–11
- Work 1:1, up to 2 students per day, 2 hours per student
- Deliver assessment, targeted intervention, and intensive pastoral support
- Complete diagnostic assessments and contribute to reintegration planning
- Work closely with families and referring schools to support successful reintegration
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a very experienced Learning Support Assistant or a Thrive Practitioner
- Has experience supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needs
- Is calm, reflective, and solution-focused
- Can build strong relationships with young people and professionals
- Is committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Contract details
- Salary: F9–F11 FTE £27,254–£28,142 (Actual £23,506–£24,272)
- Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only + 1 week
- Contract: Permanent
- Start date: March 2026

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
