History Teacher – Secondary School
Yeovil, Somerset
Full-time | Permanent (or contract options available)
Competitive salary (MPS/UPS – dependent on experience)

I am currently partnering with a well-respected secondary school in Yeovil seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to grow within a supportive and progressive school environment.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and critical thinking
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
  • Possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for History
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management and clear communication skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Show a proactive attitude and work well as part of a team
