History Teacher Opportunities - Secondary Schools in Woking

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated History Teachers to join a range of thriving secondary schools across Woking and the surrounding areas. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to begin your career in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities for Key Stage 5 teaching in some schools.
  • Inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of historical events, cultures and societies.
  • Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Encourage critical thinking, analysis and discussion within the classroom.
  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in History or a related subject.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A passion for student achievement and progress.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
