The Role

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their knowledge, analytical skills and enthusiasm for the subject.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality History lessons.
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4, depending on your experience.
  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations where required.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
  • A degree or strong academic background in History or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching History at secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for History and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
