The Role

As a History Teacher working through Teaching Personnel, you could be supporting schools across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and the surrounding areas. Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of different abilities.
• Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting academic progress.
• Creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
• Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership teams.
• Inspiring students to develop a strong understanding and appreciation of History.

We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge across History.
• Experience teaching History at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to engage, motivate and inspire students.
• A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
• ECTs are welcome to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
