Teacher of History – Full-Time

Location: Ofsted-rated GOOD Secondary School – Rawtenstall, Lancashire
Start Date: Monday 1st June
Contract: Full-Time, Likely Until December 2026

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive and well-regarded school?

A thriving Ofsted-rated ‘GOOD’ Secondary school in Rawtenstall is seeking a committed Teacher of History to join their Humanities department from Monday 1st June. This is an excellent long-term assignment, with the role expected to continue until December 2026, offering stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire students to develop a love of History and achieve their best
  • Plan, prepare, and assess in line with curriculum requirements
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing Humanities faculty
  • Support the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning

  • A qualified teacher of History (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Someone committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about making a difference
  • Ability to engage students of varying abilities and backgrounds
