Contract: Full-time

Are you an inspiring History Teacher with a passion for bringing the past to life?
A forward-thinking secondary school in Lancaster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to begin their career in a supportive environment.

About the Role

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to A‑Level teaching for the right candidate.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Track and assess student progress, ensuring all learners reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment activities, trips, and teamwork within the department.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it for a September 2026 completion.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with young people.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
