Job description

Teacher of History (Full-Time, Fixed Term)

Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire
Start Date: Monday 23rd February 2026
Contract: Full-time, until July 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of History to join our thriving mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds and share your passion for History in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role:

  • Teach engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that motivate and challenge students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for History.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
