Teaching Personnel is recruiting Secondary School History Teachers to teach History at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) across a wide range of secondary schools. These History teacher jobs include both short-term supply teaching and long-term History teaching roles, offering flexibility alongside opportunities for career development.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Secondary History Teacher with a strong classroom demeanour and a commitment to delivering high-quality History education. This role is ideal for a teacher who wants to make a real difference to student engagement, progress, and achievement in History.
Role Responsibilities – Secondary History Teacher:

Teach History at KS3 and KS4 in secondary schools

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated History lessons

Maintain excellent classroom management and positive behaviour strategies

Assess, track, and support pupil progress in History

Develop students’ critical thinking, historical enquiry, and analytical skills
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experience teaching History in secondary education

Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills

Passion for History teaching and learning
-
Commitment to raising attainment and improving outcomes for all learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
