Supply & Long-Term Opportunities
Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support schools across High Wycombe. We have a variety of supply, short-term, and long-term placements available, providing flexibility or consistent work depending on your preference.
About the Role
As a Primary HLTA, you will:

Support teachers by delivering lessons across a range of subjects in line with the curriculum
-
Take responsibility for whole-class teaching when required, under the direction of a teacher
-
Plan and deliver engaging activities for groups and individual pupils
-
Support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development
-
Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive, inclusive environment
-
Deliver interventions, SEN support, and small group teaching
-
Contribute to assessments, monitoring pupil progress, and reporting outcomes
-
Support school routines, including break and lunch supervision
HLTA roles are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, and we work with both mainstream and SEND primary schools.
What We’re Looking For
-
HLTA qualified or equivalent Level 4 teaching experience
-
Experience working in UK primary schools
-
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
-
Ability to deliver lessons confidently and support whole-class learning
-
Experience supporting SEN or EAL pupils (desirable)
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
DBS (Enhanced) clearance or willingness to obtain

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
