We are seeking to appoint highly organised and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work in a school in the North Sheffield area. This a temporary role which would start in January and end in April.
Expectations:
To teach / cover classes across the whole school from Nursery to Year 6. The activities that are planned / delivered will be for whole classes.
Relevant Qualifications:
- Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience
- Excellent numeracy/literacy skills – equivalent to NVQ level 2 in English and maths
- Training in the relevant learning strategies e.g. literacy
- Specialist skills/training in curriculum or learning area e.g. bi-lingual, sign language, ICT, Sport.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have proven experience of working as a HLTA
- Have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Have high expectations of themselves and the children they work with
- Have a calm, positive and pro-active approach to supporting children within the classroom
- Can work effectively with a range of colleagues and other professionals to best meet the needs of the child
- Are self-improving and willing to extend their skills and experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
