Higher Level Teaching Assistant

HLTA – Primary School (NP11) – March Start
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school based in NP11. This is a full‑time maternity cover position, starting in March, supporting classes across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work across a range of year groups up to Year 4, providing high‑quality classroom cover and general support where needed. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or qualified teacher looking for a rewarding and varied role within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Support pupils’ learning, progress, and well‑being across different age groups
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain a positive learning environment
- Adapt to the needs of different classes throughout the week
- Contribute to wider school life as required
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or QTS (essential)
- Experience working across primary year groups
- Strong classroom management skills
- A proactive and flexible approach
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
