Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Secondary School, Chorley
Start Date: 2nd February
Contract: Part‑Time temporary
Location: Chorley
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you an experienced, motivated HLTA looking to make a real impact in a thriving secondary school environment? We are seeking a confident and committed professional to join our partner school in Chorley on a part‑time basis from 2nd February.
About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Leading small-group interventions and supporting whole‑class learning
- Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting students with a range of learning needs to access the curriculum
- Working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:
- HLTA‑qualified or experienced in a similar level role
- Confident managing a classroom and delivering planned lessons
- Skilled in supporting learners of all abilities, including SEND
- Positive, proactive and able to build strong relationships with staff and students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
