Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to step up into a leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a high-achieving secondary school in Stockport. This is a rewarding opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, including lesson delivery and targeted student interventions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead whole-class lessons in the absence of a teacher, following pre-planned materials.
• Provide targeted intervention sessions for small groups or individual students who need extra support.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Support student progress, engagement, and wellbeing across different subject areas.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to identify students requiring additional support.
• Contribute to student assessment by tracking progress and providing feedback.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience delivering lessons or leading interventions in a secondary school setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with students of all abilities.
• A passion for education and helping young people succeed.
