A thriving secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking a Head of Business to lead their successful department from January 2026. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering the opportunity to shape the future of Business Education and make a lasting impact on students across Key Stages 4 and 5.

About the Role

As Head of Business, you will:

  • Lead the Business Studies department, driving high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential across GCSE and A-Level Business.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, fostering a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the subject.
  • Optionally deliver some Mathematics lessons – while not essential, this would be an advantage.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a proven track record of teaching Business at KS4 and KS5.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for developing Business education.
  • Has previous leadership or subject coordination experience (although exceptional teachers looking for their first step into leadership are also encouraged to apply).
  • Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to maintaining high expectations for all learners.
