Head of Business Studies – September 2025 Start
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: MPS / UPS + TLR (Dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Teaching Personnel is proud to be supporting a forward-thinking secondary academy in Corby in the recruitment of a Head of Business Studies to join their leadership team from 1st September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate educator to lead a thriving Business Studies department, shaping a curriculum that is already popular, well-regarded, and enriched with extra-curricular opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Business Studies department, supporting staff and driving continued improvement

Develop and enhance the curriculum to deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences

Inspire students through outstanding subject knowledge and dynamic teaching practices

Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, implementing strategies for improvement where needed
-
Support whole-school priorities and contribute to the school’s wider leadership
What We’re Looking For:
-
A qualified teacher with QTS and strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
-
Proven experience of teaching Business Studies at KS4 and ideally KS5
-
A track record of excellent outcomes and the ability to lead, inspire and motivate others
-
A commitment to inclusive education, high expectations, and continued professional development

A strategic thinker who is ready to take ownership of departmental growth and innovation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
