Graduates - Cover Supervisor
Job description
Graduates & Undergraduates – Sunderland Secondary Schools Cover Supervisor | Teaching Assistant | September 2026 | Competitive Daily Rates
Graduating this year? Considering a career in education? Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates and final year undergraduates for classroom support and cover roles across secondary schools in Sunderland, with positions available from September 2026.
These roles are a genuine entry point into the profession — not just a placeholder while you figure out next steps. Day to day you could be:
- Supervising classes and delivering pre-set work across a variety of subjects
- Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
- Working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive school environment
We're looking for people who have:
- A degree in any subject, or who are in their final year of undergraduate study with a confirmed graduation date
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people
- Confidence, reliability, and strong communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
What Teaching Personnel offers:
- Competitive daily rates
- Weekly pay via PAYE
- Dedicated consultant support
- Free CPD and training
- A clear pathway into teaching or permanent support roles
Contract: Flexible | Start: September 2026 | Location: Sunderland secondary schools
