Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for a primary school in Newport (NP19). You will support pupils with additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, or Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges—helping them achieve their potential and feel confident in school.

Pay: £89.38 per day (DOE)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Full-time or flexible part-time

What You’ll Do

• Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups

• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs

• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

• Contribute to EHCPs and IEPs

‍ Who We’re Looking For

• Graduates or current students in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Childhood Studies or similar

• Any experience with children or young people (paid, voluntary or personal)

• Passionate about SEN and supporting children’s development

• Calm, empathetic and confident communicators

• Team players with a genuine interest in helping children succeed
