We are looking for Graduates looking to become Teaching Assistants in an historic area of Manchester 10 minutes from the city centre. This is a perfect opportunity to build your in-school experience before completing a PGCE or just to provide you with experience you can take into future professions.
The surrounding areas of Openshaw, Longsight and Denton are easily accessible and being 3 minutes from the closest train station makes this school ideal for any commute.
If you are looking to gain experience in an education setting, this role is ideal for you. You will:
- Create an environment that celebrates difference. Somewhere both students and staff feel responsible, valued, empowered and trusted to do the right thing for each other and our community.
- To complement and support teachers, undertaking support programmes enabling access to learning
- To support the class teacher in behaviour management in the classroom
- To implement agreed work programmes with individuals and groups, in or out of the learning environment
- Work within school policies and procedures under the direction and guidance of senior staff
They have ensured several resources are in place in the school set up to provide further support to students if they are struggling with mental health or pastoral issues.
The school staff look to instil values of equality, self-responsibility and solidarity to ensure students leave as well-rounded members of the community. Continuous personal development and training is guaranteed in this role ensuring you will always be supported during your time at this school.
This opening starts February 2023 until the end of the academic year with pay ranging from £350 to £400 a week.
While this role is currently temporary there is a possibility of a permanent position after the initial introduction from Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
