The school will also expect you to work as a general Teaching Assistant in your preferred subject (degree), with targeted pupils on a one-to-one basis. You will also have the opportunity to run small group intervention sessions, as there is a massive focus on raising attainment due to the COVID lockdown and school closures.

- Reliability and punctuality.

- To be IT literate.

- Have a keen interest of working in the Education sector as a Teacher or Teaching Assistant in the future.

- The ability to build relationships quickly and think on your feet.

- Have a good knowledge of Safeguarding.

- Be eager to upskill yourself with available CPD from the school and Teaching Personnel's CPD Academy.

This role is ideal for recent graduates, teachers who are retired, or anyone wanting to gain experience in a variety of different schools. Work as a Cover Supervisor also provides the valuable classroom experience essential for teacher training applications. Successful Cover Supervisors are punctual, professional and personable; they are resilient and able to think on their feet; and they are approachable with a sense of humour.

If you are able to access secondary schools in and around the Chorley area and have an interest in the Education sector, then apply today and Emily will be in touch to talk you through the exciting opportunities we have.
