Are you a recent graduate eager to build a career working with children? Looking to get real classroom experience before taking your next step into teaching, psychology or education?

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in BS34 that is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team full time on a long term basis.

What you will be doing

- Working as a full time Teaching Assistant across the primary school
- Supporting pupils with literacy, phonics, numeracy and other core subjects
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Helping children with a range of learning and additional needs
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Contributing to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Encouraging children's personal, social and emotional development

What we are looking for

- A graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Child Development, Sociology, English, Maths or a related subject
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed
- Some experience with children through placements, tutoring, volunteering or similar
- Patience, adaptability and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- A reliable team player who is ready to get stuck in

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
