Graduate Teaching Assistant
Primary School | Bootle
Temporary to Permanent | Full Training Provided
Start Date: February 2026
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for working with children and an interest in a career in education? We are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Bootle on a temporary to permanent basis from February 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering teacher training or a long-term role within education. You will receive full training and ongoing support, allowing you to develop your skills and confidence in the classroom.
The Role:

Supporting class teachers across the primary age range
-
Working with pupils individually and in small groups
-
Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
-
Supporting children with a range of learning needs
-
Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:

A recent graduate (all degree subjects considered)
-
A genuine interest in primary education
-
Patient, proactive and enthusiastic
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Willingness to learn and develop professionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
