Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting? Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential?

We are seeking mulitple motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across multiple primary and secondary schools in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, social work, or other child-focused professions.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide academic and pastoral support to pupils across the school.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis
  • Assisting with classroom activities and lesson delivery
  • Helping students stay engaged and focused on learning
  • Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Promoting confidence, independence, and achievement
  • Assisting with behaviour management and wellbeing support

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are passionate about working with young people
  • Are resilient, proactive, and adaptable
  • Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
  • Are considering a long-term career within education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
