  1. Full Time
£95 - 110 per day

Job description

Location: Tower Hamlets

Employment type: Full time
Pay: Competitive

At Teaching Personnel, we work with primary schools where SEN support, behaviour regulation and inclusion are central to everyday practice. These schools are looking for graduates who are serious about developing a long term career in education or SEN, not short term classroom experience.

This is not a general Teaching Assistant role. It is a carefully matched, long term SEN position designed for graduates who want to build meaningful, relevant experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

The role

• Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting with regulation, behaviour support and structured classroom routines
• Supporting access to learning for pupils who struggle in mainstream settings
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Providing consistent adult support that helps stabilise behaviour and engagement

Who we are looking for

We are seeking graduates committed to developing within SEN and education, including:

• Psychology, education or child development graduates
• Sports science, health or related graduates with an interest in behaviour and regulation
• Graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, therapy or SEN support
• Individuals with relevant voluntary, care or youth work experience

How Teaching Personnel works differently

• You are supported by a specialist SEN consultant who understands graduate development and school expectations
• Roles are carefully matched to ensure the school environment supports your learning and confidence
• PAYE only, with competitive SEN weighted pay
• Ongoing consultant contact before, during and after placement

Our responsibility is to place you in a school where you are supported, guided and developed, not overwhelmed.

Upskilling, development and future teaching routes

This pathway is designed to build long term capability, not just experience. Through Teaching Personnel you will access:

• Thrive aligned regulation and behaviour CPD
• Support developing SEN, EHCP and intervention understanding
• Opportunities to build practical classroom and behaviour experience
• Clear pathways into long term and temp to perm roles

For graduates who want to progress into teaching, Teaching Personnel also offers its own teacher training route, allowing you to move from SEN classroom experience into qualified teacher training when you are ready. This ensures continuity, relevant experience and informed progression into the profession.

The schools

• Primary schools with SEN embedded practice
• Structured environments with clear routines and expectations
• Leadership teams committed to developing staff and supporting wellbeing

If you are a graduate looking for a purposeful entry point into SEN education and a clear route towards teaching, and you want to be placed thoughtfully in a role that supports your development, apply and attach your CV.
