Graduate Primary Teacher (Supply)

Location: South Bristol
Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time, Monday–Friday (term time)
Salary: £130 - £150 per day


About the Role

Are you a Teaching graduate with QTS looking to gain paid classroom experience?

We are working closely with welcoming primary schools across South Bristol who are seeking enthusiastic Graduate Teachers to support learning and deliver cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. This role provides hands‑on teaching experience, opportunities to lead lessons, and exposure to classroom management.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Graduate Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across primary year groups
  • Provide whole‑class cover or support small‑group teaching
  • Support pupils’ academic progress, confidence and engagement
  • Assist with behaviour management and classroom routines
  • Adapt activities to suit different abilities and learning needs
  • Work closely with class teachers and support staff
  • Gain valuable experience in lesson delivery, assessment and school life

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who have:

  • A degree in Education, Primary Education, Teaching or a related subject
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching
  • Confidence working with groups of children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, positive and adaptable attitude
  • Experience working with children (placements, tutoring, camps, youth work or mentoring – desirable)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
