Graduates Wanted! Full Time Teaching Assistant - Central Bristol - September Start

Hours: Full time (5 days per week)

We're working with a fantastic primary school in Central Bristol that's seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

This is a brilliant opportunity for graduates who want to make a difference while gaining valuable experience in education. No school experience? No problem. If you have a degree and a passion for working with children, we want to hear from you.

The school is easily accessible from all areas of Bristol, has a supportive leadership team and offers excellent opportunities for professional development. Many of their TAs have gone on to complete teacher training.

The Role:
- Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with their learning and development
- Working 1:1 and with small groups to deliver interventions in literacy, numeracy and phonics
- Supporting children with special educational needs including autism (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia and speech and language difficulties
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and supporting pupils with EHCPs
- Using positive behaviour management strategies to support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Helping children who find learning challenging to access the curriculum
- Building confidence and self-esteem in pupils who need extra support
- Supporting the class teacher with classroom management and learning activities
- Observing and recording pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers and support staff
- Contributing to the wider school community

We Are Looking For:
- Graduates in any subject who are passionate about education
- Psychology, English, Maths, Science or Education graduates particularly welcome
- Experience working with children through tutoring, mentoring, youth work or volunteering is great but not essential
- A patient, enthusiastic and creative approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Resilience and adaptability
- Genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development
