General Classroom Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:45am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Start: ASAP / Ongoing

About the Role

A supportive primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated General Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full‑time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children succeed and supporting learning across the school.

You will work closely with the class teacher to provide high‑quality support for pupils, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting learning across the classroom
• Assisting with small group work and 1:1 activities
• Helping to prepare resources and set up activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school staff
• Providing general support during lessons, transitions, and break times

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children in a school setting (preferred)
• A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
• Ability to commit to Monday–Friday, 08:45am–3:30pm
