TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated and experienced GCSE Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in the Sheffield area. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored GCSE tuition sessions on a 1:1 basis.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE examinations.
- Identify learning gaps and create personalised lesson plans.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to pupils and families.
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE-level students.
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more core subjects (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, or Languages).
- Ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

All educators are subject to safeguarding checks in line with Department for Education (DfE) guidance including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). This may also include an online search as part of our safer recruitment process.
All educators must complete our annual tuition training programme, covering Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, KCSIE, Allergy Awareness, and Child-on-Child Abuse Awareness. Tutors must also hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Child-only Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, with full guidance provided.
Many pupils supported by TP Tutors require tailored educational provision. Tutors should be confident in building positive relationships, adapting their approach to meet individual needs, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding at all times. Tutors must also be able to effectively plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the learner’s individual needs, monitor progress, and adapt teaching strategies to support positive outcomes.
