Functional Skills Tutor – Sheffield S1

Location: Sheffield (S1)
Hours: Part-Time | Weekdays during school hours
Pay: £25–£30 per hour+

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across Sheffield (S1).

The Role

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.

  • Plan lessons around each learner's individual needs, abilities and learning goals.

  • Support learners in developing core skills and confidence.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with SEN.

  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

What We're Looking For

✔ Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience.
✔ Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
✔ Experience working with SEN learners.
✔ Experience supporting Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
✔ Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
