Functional Skills Tutor – Nottinghamshire
Teaching Personnel | £25–£30 per hour

Are you passionate about helping learners build essential life and work skills? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to support students across Nottinghamshire, delivering high-quality tuition in English and/or Maths from Entry Level to Level 2.

This is a rewarding opportunity for qualified tutors, teachers, or experienced support staff to make a real difference in the lives of learners who need tailored educational support.

Key Details:

• Location: Nottinghamshire (various locations available)

• Subjects: Functional Skills English and/or Maths

• Pay: £25–£30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

• Start Date: Immediate or negotiable

• Contract Type: Flexible – part-time and full-time roles available

Your Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised Functional Skills sessions

• Work with learners to improve confidence and progress towards qualifications

• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and abilities

• Track student progress and provide feedback to support development

Requirements:

• Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills in English and/or Maths

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is preferred

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
