Functional Skills Tutor | Hartlepool (TS26)

We are seeking a motivated and supportive Functional Skills Tutor to work with learners in the Hartlepool area. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students build confidence and develop essential English and Maths skills in a rewarding educational setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Planning, delivering, and adapting Functional Skills sessions
• Supporting learners through 1:1 and small group tuition
• Tailoring lessons and resources to suit individual learning needs
• Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and progression
• Creating a positive and structured learning environment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience teaching or tutoring English and/or Maths
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods for different learning abilities
• Patient, reliable, and supportive approach
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Role Information

• Location: TS26, Hartlepool
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Flexible / Part-time
• Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates available

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
