Position: GCSE Tutor
Hours: Part-time / Flexible Hours (Monday to Friday- School Hours)

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced GCSE Tutor to support students in the Hartlepool (TS26) area. This rewarding role involves delivering tailored tuition to help learners build confidence, improve attainment, and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality GCSE tuition in one or more core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in preparing for GCSE examinations and coursework.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Liaise with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals as required.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE students.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the GCSE curriculum.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire learners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in a relevant subject area.
• Previous experience in tutoring, education, or alternative provision settings.
