Location: Preston (PR1)
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £120–£150 per day


The Opportunity

A friendly primary school in Preston is looking for a committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic full‑time role for someone who loves working with KS1 learners and is passionate about building strong foundations in reading, writing, and maths.


Your Role Will Include:

  • Teaching a Year 1 class full-time
  • Planning creative and engaging lessons
  • Supporting pupils through the transition from EYFS to KS1
  • Working closely with colleagues to deliver a consistent, high‑quality curriculum
  • Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in EYFS/KS1 (essential)
  • A strong grasp of the Year 1 curriculum
  • QTS required – ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Ability to create a positive, structured learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
