Full Time Teaching Assistant

Location – Cardiff

Pay - £92.63 per day

Hours – Full time (8:30 – 3:30)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working alongside a year 2 class. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children of varied needs and abilities and general classroom support will be required. There may also be instances where the teaching assistant will lead interventions involving small groups of children, to assist with learning that follows the school’s curriculum. Some children in the class may need  1:1 support due to additional needs, therefore extra support may need to be provided throughout the day. The ability to adapt in the classroom and provide support to suit the child’s individual needs will be required.

Main Duties:

• Providing general classroom support for the teacher and supporting all class children.
• Working on a 1:1 basis and supporting individual needs of the children.
• Being confident completing intervention work on an individual basis or within small groups.
• Ability to build professional relationships with children, staff, and parents in the school.

The school is based in the centre of Cardiff and is a two form entry.
