Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teachers specialising in French and Spanish to support secondary schools across South Shields from September 2026.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging French and Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encouraging students to develop a love for languages and cultural learning
  • Adapting lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
  • Creating a supportive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Monitoring student progress and encouraging academic achievement
  • Building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching French and Spanish within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Be passionate about language learning and student development
  • Bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to lessons
  • Be flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high educational standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
