Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Daventry area. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can deliver engaging, practical, and inspiring Food Technology lessons that empower students to develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Start Date: January 2026 – or sooner for the right candidate
 Contract: Full-time
 Location: Daventry area
 Setting: Secondary School


The Role:

  • Teach Food Technology across Key Stages within a well-resourced secondary school environment

  • Deliver creative and practical lessons covering nutrition, food preparation, food safety, and culinary skills

  • Encourage independence, creativity, and resilience in practical sessions

  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress effectively

  • Contribute to department planning, enrichment activities, and curriculum development


What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for Food Technology

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students aged 11–16

  • Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
